Brasero

Brasero, which offers live-fire Brazilian-influenced cuisine, was inspired by Chef John Manion’s childhood in South America in the 1970s.  It was only fitting that the interiors should take inspiration from the same.  We crafted a lively but lived-in feel by layering in bold textures and thoughtfully mismatched patterns that make the décor feel like it’s been collected and curated over time. Dramatic shapes – serpentine banquette seating, plaster arches, quatrefoil screens – hide and reveal vignettes as guests move through the room, surprising and delighting the eye.  Intentional pops of color read as neutrals, contributing to a warm but timeless palette. Working with lighting designer Within Light Studio, we utilized a variety of sconces, pendants, and hidden LED tracks to add both to the visual interest and the vibe.
