Solo Salon (Washington)

Our intention was to create a space that Solo clients could go to for an elevated salon experience. We stayed true to the Chicago industrial vibe that the flagship location embraces, but softened the edges with a collection of custom reupholstered vintage furniture. The custom steel and wood shelving throughout the salon contribute to the industrial feel but are covered in plants to invigorate the space. Wallpaper was an important design element, having incorporated Andy Warhol’s selfie paper, charred wood and Siren Betty’s custom designs crafted from the Solo Salon Logo. Courtesy of Susan, the painting on display is a tribute to Andy Warhol, paying homage to his signature style while also using appropriations of the classic Gibson Girl (the original hairstyle models), as a special nod to the salon industry. The new Solo Salon aims to maintain a strong and unique presence in the West Loop with luxury and pampering.
