Tortello

When we first started Tortello, we wanted to focus on three key concepts - create a modern yet tradition oriented space, provide quality and comfort, and to be flexible - a space that can act as a full service restaurant, a retail space selling artisanal Italian goods, and an entertainment space. The client wanted to create a transparency in the quality of food and love that goes into making it. The space needed to reflect this truth in not only ingredients, but materials as well. This was accomplished by using sturdy finishes like solid woods, Terrazzo-look quartz, brass, and tile. We subtly used familiar Italian colors in the upholstery, the counter face tile, and kept many of the walls clean and white.
