The Press Room

We designed this underground wine bar to reflect the hip sensibilities of the surrounding area, while also paying tribute to The West Loop’s storied past. The cozy interior was designed to feel like a secret clubhouse with velvet-tufted bench seating, a custom mural and tile wall, a vintage refrigerator and plenty of plant life sitting on the windowsills. Materials from the Free Methodist Publishing House building, where the wine bar is located, were reused and repurposed as design elements. The 70-seat space offers the choice to settle into a welcoming table, watch the art of cooking as it occurs in the open-kitchen dining room or enjoy a wine tasting in the private tasting room.
