Untitled (2020)

Having designed Untitled for its opening in 2012, we were tasked with reimaging and refreshing the space while also preserving its original Prohibition-era mystique. We drew on burlesque motifs – jewel tones, feathers, florals, lace – to update Untitled’s aesthetic in a way that is both dramatic and unapologetically feminine.

The layout was reoriented to create distinct seating areas, each with its own visual identity. The VIP area next to the stage is clad entirely in red with textured damask wallpaper, velvet booths and drapes, and tasseled lamp shades. The space’s center area, dubbed “The Parlour,” features fringed light fixtures, moody floral wallpaper and crimson channel-tufted banquettes, while the main stage bar area received a shiny coat of black lacquer with gold trim.

Untitled’s celebrated Whiskey Library was relocated within the space and framed by pink marble columns and a matching pink marble bar front. An elaborate custom chandelier made of brass and oversized whisper-pink ostrich feathers is contrasted by walls lined in deep jade green velvet.

The backstage seating area is more raw and unrefined, a reference to the dressing rooms of 1920s showgirls. Even the restrooms received a burlesque-inspired update, with draped crystal chandeliers and playful wallpaper featuring illustrated fan dancers.
